The Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship (funded by Deakin University) enables postdoctoral candidates from the U.S to undertake research that is strategically aligned with Deakin’s research strengths at Deakin University, Victoria, Australia.

This Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship will be awarded to the most outstanding applicants with projects that align directly with Deakin’s aim to make a difference to the community and/or industry. Projects must be of high academic quality, align with Deakin’s research strengths and focus on building critical bilateral relationship with the U.S.
This scholarship will support a 3–10 month position.
Specialisation
Deakin University invites applicants from any field or discipline however the research must be aligned with an area of research strength or focus at Deakin University.
Eligibility
This scholarship is open to researchers who have completed their PhD in the past five years.
Scholarship Entitlements
- A monthly stipend for a maximum of 10 months
- An establishment allowance
- An international travel entitlement
- Health coverage under Medicare (Scholar only)
- Health and Accident Insurance (ASPE) to maximum of US$100,000 (Scholar only)
- Access to Fulbright Alumni in the US and Australia for social and professional networking
- Support through the Fulbright Commission to assist with administration, visas and general enquiries.
