Oz to Oz Program: Dr Tony McLeod visits Kansas State University

With the invaluable support of President Kirk Schulz at Kansas State University, the 2014 Australian Senior Scholars and Professional Scholars each have an enrichment opportunity to visit Kansas State University as part of their Fulbright experience. Dr Tony McLeod is General Manager at the Murray Darling Basin Authority in Canberra and is currently based at the Getches- Wilkinson Centre for Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment at the University of Colorado Boulder, in Boulder, from August to December 2014. On a recent visit to Kansas State University, hosted by Daniel Devlin, Director of the Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment (KCARE), Tony presented a seminar and did a radio interview to promote his own work and the Fulbright Program more broadly.

While at K-State Tony was also able to connect with Prof. John Pluske, the Inaugural Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Agriculture and Life Sciences sponsored by Kansas State University, Professor Zdenko Rengel 2014 Fulbright Senior Scholar sponsored by Kansas State University, and Prof. Jill Thistlethwaite 2014 Senior Scholar based at the National Centre for Interprofessional Practice and Education at the University of Minnesota who was also visiting the Manhattan, Kansas campus as part of the Oz to Oz Program.
