Dr Stephanie Reuter-Lange: Tall Poppy of the Year Finalist

2012 Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Dr. Stephanie Reuter-Lange is a finalist for the Early Career Researcher– Tall Poppy of the Year in the 2014 South Australian Science Excellence Awards.

Dr Reuter-Lange’s research at the University of South Australia examines how drugs are processed by the body and whether factors such as weight or age contribute to differences in the treatment response between patients. Optimising the treatment of malaria and bacterial infections to maximise the therapeutic effect whilst minimising side effects and drug resistance, is the main focus of Dr Reuter-Lange’s work.

In 2012, Stephanie went to the State University of New York and undertook workshops and research in computational modelling with a view to improve the treatment of malaria and carnitine deficiency on her Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship.

The Fulbright Commission wishes to congratulate Dr. Reuter-Lange on all of her successes. The 2014 South Australian Science Excellence Awards Ceremony is on the 8th of August in Adelaide’s Town Hall and we wish Stephanie all the very best on the night.
