2014 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund Announced

The Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) received over 1000 proposals this year before announcing 60 winning projects from over 50 countries. The wide focus of research projects from girl’s education to addressing environmental protection issues, and promoting entrepreneurship makes this year’s calibre of projects particularly exciting.

The U.S. State Department created the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) in 2011 to support alumni initiatives that promote shared values and innovative solutions to global challenges. The competition provides small grants to teams of past and current participants of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to carry out public service projects that utilize skills and knowledge they have gained through their exchange experiences.

Further information can be accessed online. The Fulbright Commission wishes to congratulate all those successful winners and looks forward to viewing the full details of the projects over the coming months.
