I am interested in visiting and working with Indigenous peoples and communities that enable evidence-based, strengths-based practices, policy and models, and change for sustainable future outcomes. I will reflect how they align with Australia’s four National Agreement Close The Gap 2020 Priority Reform areas, including health, business, education, and justice.
Professor Bronwyn Fredericks is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) at The University of Queensland, and responsible for leading the implementation of the University’s Indigenous agenda. She has additionally worked for state and federal levels of government and has a 40-year history of direct involvement and with Indigenous community-based organisations. Prof Fredericks is the Education and Economies lead in the ARC’s Centre of Excellence in Indigenous Futures and noted for her community-based research and translation of research outcomes, along with her commitment to improving outcomes. Prof Fredericks’s Fullbright project will focus on Indigenous Futures: Linking Education Training and Economic Development.
