My Fulbright research develops a theory of how international human rights law obligates states to regulate private firearms both in terms of domestic effects and the international trade in firearms resulting in foreseeable private violence in other countries.
Dr. Aaron Fellmeth is a Professor at Arizona State University College of Law and a leading expert in international law, human rights, and armed conflict. He serves on the Board of the International Law Association, U.S. Branch, and as Co-Chair of its International Human Rights Committee.
As the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Applied Public Policy, Aaron will investigate how international human rights law can mitigate private gun violence.
