The Fulbright Scholarship will provide me with the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in nuclear engineering, focusing on the fundamental principles critical for the continual and reliable operation of nuclear reactors. This education will equip me with the skills necessary to address the challenges of maintaining and improving reactor performance, ensuring the safe and sustainable use of nuclear energy for future generations.

Oksana Ahmadzai is an Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) graduate working in nuclear operations at the Open-pool Australian lightwater (OPAL) reactor, with expertise in spent fuel management and nuclear medicine innovation.

As a Fulbright Future Scholar, Oksana is pursuing a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering to equip her with the knowledge to advance Australia’s nuclear sector in the safe, sustainable and reliability of nuclear application.
