Michael Hewitt’s research focuses on developing analytical techniques to support decision-making in transportation and supply chain management, with a particular emphasis on freight transportation.
His work is often informed by close collaboration with industry, including through his current role as an Amazon Scholar. He has contributed extensively to his research community through leadership roles, conference organisation, and service on editorial boards, and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Science.
