My Fulbright project will focus on educating health care teams about age-friendly mental health care. I am partnering with Gold Coast Health to implement the 4Ms of an Age-Friendly Behavioral Health System—What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility—in two inpatient medical settings.

Dr. Erin Emery-Tiburcio is a Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Geriatric Medicine, as well as the Director of Geropsychology at Rush University Medical Center. Additionally, she is co-director of the SAMHSA-funded E4 Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Disparities in Aging.

As a Fulbright Scholar, Erin will work on educating healthcare teams in Australia about best practices in geriatric mental health care.
