Through my Fulbright research at the University of Melbourne, I aim to work collaboratively with internationally renowned experts in the field to co-create curriculum and systems that will embed systems-informed wellbeing science in veterinary education, with a long-term vision to enhance flourishing for people, animals, communities, and the world we share.

Dr Virginia Kiefer Corrigan is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Interprofessional Education at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.

As a 2026 Fulbright U.S. Scholar to the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Wellbeing Science, Virginia’s project explores how positive psychology and systems-informed approaches can foster thriving learning environments and professional flourishing in veterinary education. As a veterinarian, educator, and recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Master of Applied Positive Psychology program, Dr. Corrigan is passionate about creating a better future for the next generation of veterinary professionals, animals, communities, and the world we share.
