My Fulbright research aims to make operational technology networks, such as the Smart Grid, more secure and resilient against cyber attacks.

Dr. Ana Goulart is a professor in the Electronic Systems Engineering Technology program, in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. Since 2006, she has been teaching and doing research in the field of communication networks and cybersecurity. Her research focuses on the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure systems, such as the electricity grid.

As a Fulbright Scholar, Ana will be based at the University of Canberra’s research center on cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, part of the National Industry Innovation Network (NIIN) of Australia. There, she will be researching and evaluating new technologies, such as programmable networks using scenarios based on Australia’s power grid.
