Fulbright Professional Alliance Scholarship (Funded by the American Chamber of Commerce)

This AmCham-funded Fulbright Scholarship, established in 2021, will facilitate and foster Australian-American collaborations in the six key industries that will shape Australia’s future economic prosperity:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Biotechnology
  • Digital Economy
  • Energy and Clean Technology
  • Quantum Computing
  • Space


This award is aimed at researchers and mid-career professionals (with an undergraduate qualification and minimum 10 years’ work experience), will create opportunities for Australians to undertake research and/or training at an institute/university in the United States for three to four months in any of the target industries; Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Digital Economy, Energy and Clean Technology, Quantum Computing, or Space.

who satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Academics including lecturers, and professors involved in any of the 6 target industries
  • Professionals from public and private sectors associated with any of the 6 target industries
  • Researchers who propose collaborative projects involving or related to any of the 6 target industries
